The end of Lamine Yamal's relationship? Barcelona and Spain star unfollows influencer girlfriend Alex Padilla amid video of her sitting on someone else's knee

There are doubts about Yamal's relationship after he unfollowed Alex Padilla, who has returned the favour. It came after she was seemingly seen sitting on someone else's lap during a livestreamed video that went viral. With no further information to hand, Barca fans jumped to conclusions and accused the influencer of 'cheating' on their club's teen prodigy - some even shared screenshots of abusive messages they had sent her.

Padilla was at the Euro 2024 final to celebrate with Yamal, joining the 17-year-old on the pitch for the trophy celebrations after Spain beat England. They were later spotted flying to Milan together after the tournament, followed by a trip to Greece. It was there that the pair posted on Instagram the same image of a luxurious floating breakfast. But in the same month that their relationship was publicly confirmed, the double unfollowing suggests trouble already.

Padilla rose to prominence on TikTok, accumulating more than 750,000 followers on the platform - doubling her following during Euro 2024 alone. She is thought to be a student from Barcelona.

Only two weeks removed from the Euro 2024 final, Yamal is still on summer leave from Barcelona and is not part of the squad Hansi Flick has taken to the United States for pre-season. The Catalans play their final tour game on August 6, after which the Joan Gamper Trophy will be played back home on August 12. It remains to be seen if Yamal will play any part in America, but he could feasibly be involved for the latter match.
