Jose Mourinho insists he's still not at the 'peak' of his career as Fenerbahce boss confirms Portugal return plan

Fenerbahce head coach Mourinho has publicly indicated his intention to coach in Portugal again. In a post-match conference after a friendly win against Portimonense, the Special One clarified that this desire isn't driven by nearing retirement. Instead, Mourinho expressed a strong ambition to make this return when he is at a high point in his career, maintaining excellent physical and mental well-being.

Mourinho is regarded as one of football's most distinguished strategists. The ex-Chelsea head coach has consistently aimed for top-tier challenges throughout his extensive career. I don't want to come to Portugal for a golden retreat or for the final years of my career. I want to come to Portugal at a peak in my career, in good health, and in physical and mental strength. I'll definitely return."

Giving some light-hearted praise to the Portimonense coach, the 62-year-old was asked whether his return would be for the national team or a club: "Club or national team? Anything. Not Portimonense, because they have a good coach."
