Jude swapped Birmingham for Dortmund as a 17-year-old in 2020 and, after thriving at the German giants, headed to Real Madrid in 2023 for a fee worth up to £115 million ($148m). Now, The Sun claims his younger brother Jobe, 19, is a target for the Bundesliga team, with Sunderland demanding around £20m ($26m) for his services.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Madrid and England star has become one of the best players in the world over the past year or so, evidenced by his coming third in the 2024 Ballon d'Or rankings. His younger brother is not at that level but the former Birmingham ace is impressing at Championship side Sunderland. The report adds the teenager would 'love' to follow in Jude's steps to Dortmund, too.

Jobe has scored nine goals and bagged two assists in 60 appearances for Sunderland since his move from Birmingham in 2023. He has helped them to joint top spot in the Championship this season as they target a Premier League return after dropping out of the top-flight in 2017.

WHAT NEXT?
It remains to be seen whether Dortmund will submit an offer for Jobe when the January transfer window opens at the start of 2025. For the time being, he will focus on delivering on the pitch for Sunderland.
