Jesse Lingards sends inspirational July message as ex-Man Utd star continues to enjoy FC Seoul adventure in K League

After more than six months without a club following his release from Nottingham Forest, Lingard joined Seoul in the K-League in early 2024. After a rough start, which involved injuries and being criticised by manager Kim Gi-dong, the 31-year-old has settled in at the South Korean team. Now, he has sent a motivational July message on social media.

In addition to posting a photo of a whiteboard with motivational phrases such as: "Give 100%", "No excuses", "Positive vibes only" and "Fight until the end", Lingard posted on Instagram...

Lingard, who turned down the chance to join a host of teams before signing for Seoul, is finding his feet in his new surroundings. He has scored two goals in 12 games as his side sit sixth in the table and are just two places and six points behind Ulsan HD - who sit in the last of the AFC Champions League qualification places.

Lingard's Seoul side, who beat Incheon 1-0 on Saturday, next face third-placed Pohang Steelers in the league on August 11, before hosting mid-table Jeju five days later.
