Tottenham flopped yet again as Ange Postecoglou's side lost 1-0 to AZ Alkmaar at AFAS Stadion in the Europa League. The hosts dominated the proceedings during the first leg of the round of 16 tie, and Spurs fans were not happy with the players' commitment and booed the team as Vicario seemed to demand more support from the travelling support.

As per The Daily Mail, Vicario then got upset with the enraged fans and expressed his frustration as he walked away. Maddison then showed his disappointment towards the fans' reaction as he raised his hands in a querying manner.
