Grealish has clapped back at a fan on Instagram who criticised his recent form following reports that he was left out of Manchester City’s 35-man squad for the upcoming Club World Cup. The fan claimed Grealish’s exclusion was justified, prompting the England international to respond sarcastically, highlighting his recent goal contributions.

Grealish directly addressed the fan’s criticism on Instagram, replying: “Haha I’ve been bad lately? Scored three goals in my last three appearances over 45 mins but okie dokie love x.” He added another comment, biting back at comments made by Gabriel Agbonlahor on talkSPORT, which read, “What u want me to do, score a hatty in 20?”
