Is Russell Crowe an investor at Wrexham? Hollywood superstar sets record straight on links with Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney project as he makes huge Leeds United revelation

The Hollywood superstar denied being associated with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned Wrexham while replying to an account on X that alleged he was investing at the Welsh club. Crowe also clarified that he actually put money into Leeds as a supporter of the Championship club.

Leeds announced Crowe's summer gig at the Brudenell Social Club in Hyde Park on X. Replying to the club's official announcement, a user wrote: "Such a massive Leeds fan he put his money into Wrexham, not the 49ers."

Crowe then replied: "I don’t have any part of what’s going on in Wrexham man. I’m really impressed with Ryan and Rob, and what they are achieving, but I’m not part of that. I do however have a very small connection now financially to LUFC via the 49er family. So, yeah, exactly… but opposite."

49ers Enterprises is an American consortium that took full control of Leeds United last summer after Andrea Radrizzani exited the club. Several small investors have put their money into the club, including Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps and professional golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

Wrexham, who are third in League Two, will be next seen in action on Saturday as they take on Morecambe. Leeds, on the other hand, are eyeing promotion to the Premier League as they trail Championship leaders Leicester City by five points and will next face Stoke City on Tuesday.
