Heartbreak for Georgina Rodriguez! Cristiano Ronaldo's partner sees Netflix show cancelled with model's earnings capped at £22m

The glamorous docu-series, I Am Georgina, which provided an intimate look into her personal and professional life, has come to a halt despite widespread popularity and significant commercial success. The series earned her a staggering £22 million ($30m) over the course of three seasons, marking one of her most lucrative ventures outside the fashion and modelling world.

The first season alone catapulted I Am Georgina into Netflix’s top 10 charts in 46 countries, a remarkable feat for a lifestyle documentary. Its warm reception by viewers led to Netflix greenlighting two additional seasons.

Speaking to Vogue Arabia, Rodriguez said: "The reality show has been one of the most important professional experiences and the one that has made me the most excited. It has been a lot of work and requires so much effort. I think that it has given me the opportunity to show the real ‘me’ to the world. It has been the most important and large-scale project that I have done so far. However, at the moment, I do not plan to continue with the reality show.”

While Rodriguez's media career takes a pause, speculation continues to swirl around Ronaldo's footballing future, particularly regarding his potential involvement in the upcoming Club World Cup. Though his club Al-Nassr did not qualify for the tournament, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has sparked rumours by suggesting that Ronaldo might still feature in some capacity. With Ronaldo’s global appeal and the expanding nature of the tournament, a short-term loan move has not been ruled out.
