WHAT HAPPENED?
Torrential rain in Istanbul on Wednesday has put the game in danger of being postponed, with the field being inspected by officials. The encounter between Galatasaray and United in the UEFA Youth League was also heavily affected by the weather.

WHAT UEFA SAID
Despite the heavy rainfall and constant pitch inspections, UEFA insists the match will go ahead as scheduled, saying in a statement: “We are closely monitoring the weather forecast and at this stage the match will go ahead as scheduled."

United are in need of a win from their penultimate game of the group stage. Erik ten Hag's team are bottom of the group with three points but are just one behind Wednesday's opponents and Copenhagen, who beat the Red Devils 4-3 in their previous Champions League match.
