Manchester City confirmed on Tuesday that they have completed the signing of one of the finest young forwards in world football, Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The Cityzens will pay a transfer fee of £51 million ($63m) that will trigger a release clause in the striker’s contract with the German club. Haaland has agreed to sign a five-year deal with the Premier League giants.
The prolific striker has been in sensational form at Dortmund and is expected to be a quality addition to Pep Guardiola's arsenal.
As Haaland is all set to start a new journey in England, we take a look at some of the unknown and interesting facts about the Norwegian.
Interestingly, Haaland played against India colts back in 2016. As a preparation for the U17 World Cup in 2017, the India junior team played a friendly match against the Norway U16 national side in an exposure trip in Europe. Haaland scored one goal to help his team pip the Indian boys.
