Erik ten Hag supports the Lionesses! Ex-Man Utd boss tells England's Dutch coaching staff to 'put finishing touches on hard work' ahead of Euro 2025 final against Spain

Lionesses boss Sarina Wiegman has created history by becoming the first manager in the history of men's or women's football to reach the final of five back-to-back major tournaments. The 55-year-old has won the last two European Championships with the Netherlands and England, respectively and will now aim to make a hat-trick of European titles.

Ahead of the crucial final in Basel, former Manchester United and current Bayer Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag wished the Lionesses good luck and sent a message to his compatriot Wiegman and her assistant Arjan Veurink, who is set to take charge of the Netherlands women's team after the tournament.

Speaking to The Athletic, Ten Hag said: "Arjan, we grew up in the same region of Twente, and I invited you to some Ajax training sessions in 2020. It’s a success story! England will have a very special guest at the St Jakob Park on Sunday as the Prince of Wales is all set to attend the final.
