The post-match brawl followed a strong England performance that saw them march into the semi-finals. McAtee was on hand to pounce after 10 minutes when Spain failed to clear a corner that pinballed around the area before Elliot fired home a rebound from a Jarrell Quansah effort. The Liverpool defender then gave away a penalty, dispatched by Javi Guerra, before Anderson made sure of victory in the dying seconds from the spot.
