The young striker, signed for €47.5 million (£41m/$55m) from Palmeiras, has been linked with an exit this summer given the number of options in attack at Xabi Alonso's disposal.

The rise of Gonzalo Garcia, who has already impressed at the Club World Cup with four goals and has started every game in the competition, further complicates matters for the Brazilian star.
