Another bizarre twist! Duncan McGuire's on-again-off-again transfer to Blackburn could collapse due to paperwork error - even after Championship side confirmed USMNT forward's signing
Duncan McGuire's transfer to Blackburn Rovers is on the verge of collapsing due to a reported paperwork error by the Championship side.
As things stand, McGuire will not be able to be registered to appear in Blackburn until the summer transfer window - after the Championship season finishes. The striker wanted to move to Rovers but he may end up returning to Orlando and having his plans scuppered.
DID YOU KNOW?
The report adds that Orlando never wanted to lose McGuire, who began his career at Lane United before moving to City in 2023. The deal that was struck between the two teams was a loan with a buy option. McGuire scored 15 goals for the MLS outfit in 2023.
