The Liverpool star married childhood sweetheart Cardoso in a ceremony in Porto last month but less than two weeks later, the forward and his brother, Andre Silva, died in a car crash on July 3. A month on from their wedding, Cardoso took to social media to post some pictures from their wedding in their native Portugal in an emotional message.

Alongside several photos from their wedding day, Jota's widow wrote on Instagram: "1 month of our until death do us part". Forever, Your white girl."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Liverpool and much of the footballing world were rocked by Jota's sudden death. The 28-year-old had just married Cardoso and together they raised three children: sons Dinis (four) and Duarte (two) and daughter Madalfa (eight months). Many Liverpool players, among others, attended his funeral, but for some, it will be a long time before they fully process this tragic turn of events.
