Dani Olmo and Pau Victor left 'tremendously angry' with Barcelona president Joan Laporta after failing to deliver on registration promise as duo face missing rest of the season

The two players are facing uncertain futures as they are currently unregistered and unable to play for Barcelona for the rest of the 2024-25 season. According to AS, Olmo and Victor are "tremendously angry" with Laporta after Barca's attempts to re-register both players were rejected by La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Barcelona fans have also vented their anger at Laporta and called on him to resign amid the continuing saga regarding the two attackers.

The situation means that Olmo and Victor were left out of Barcelona's squad to face Barbastro in the Copa del Rey and currently face spending the rest of the season on the sidelines. Barca are now expected to make one final legal challenge in a bid to get La Liga and the RFEF's decision overturned but there is no guarantee of success.

Barcelona could lose around £218 million ($273m) if summer signing Olmo is not registered for the rest of the campaign. The Spain star could also leave on a free transfer due to a specific clause in his contract relating to his registration status.

Olmo and Victor now face an anxious wait to discover what will happen next and if their seasons are over, while Barca are set to jet you out to Saudi Arabia for the Supercopa de Espana. Flick's side take on Athletic Club in the semi-finals, with the winners set to face Real Mallorca or Real Madrid.
