Carvajal drops big hint on Trent
Not afraid of competition from the English full-back
Madrid's veteran right-back Carvajal has now unwittingly confirmed the imminent arrival of Alexander-Arnold as he claimed that he is not afraid of competition from the England international. Last week, the Spaniard had hinted at retirement as he admitted that his "sporting career is nearing the end".
WHAT DANI CARVAJAL SAID
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Carvajal said when quizzed on Alexander-Arnold's proposed move to Madrid: "It hasn’t been made official yet, but it seems so. Fear? We don’t talk about fear here; we’ll be teammates. Competition improves both of us and brings out the best in each of us."
