  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Ronaldo's love for the game and his own knack of scoring is yet to cease as he prepares for a new season with Al-Nassr. The legendary forward posted a photo on his Instagram story of him leaping high into the air mid-Siu, presumably after sticking an effort into the top corner. Ronaldo added a few extra snaps of him wearing a bright orange bib with the number nine on the front - a strange look for a man so synonymous with the No.7.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ronaldo has always been a dedicated trainer and after a pre-season victory over Toulouse, he insisted: "The hunger never fades. Still work to do and we’re just getting started." The forward had reportedly been looking to leave Al-Nassr earlier in this transfer window after the club failed to lift silverware and finished far off the pace set by Al-Hilal at the top of the Saudi Pro League. However, the 40-year-old ended speculation by signing a new lucrative deal at the club.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Ronaldo's desire to lift silverware with Al-Nassr will be strengthened by the arrival of Joao Felix from Chelsea. The Portuguese forwards will form a strike partnership and the club will hope it proves more successful than the short-lived link-up between Ronaldo and Jhon Duran, who left to join Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce. Former Manchester United star Ronaldo reportedly played a crucial role in convincing Felix to move to Saudi Arabia over one back to his boyhood club Benfica.

    WHAT NEXT FOR RONALDO?

Ronaldo and Felix will lead Al-Nassr's front-line against Portuguese side Rio Ave on Thursday. Their pre-season finishes with a clash against Spanish side Almeria before they take on Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup later this month.
