    The centre-back joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020 and since then he has made 132 appearances, scored five goals, and helped them win the Championship in 2022. Now, the Cottagers have bid the 26-year-old a farewell, with his contract expiring at the end of this month.

    Since signing for Fulham, the 6ft 5in defender has, arguably, become one of the better defenders in the Premier League. Reports suggest he is set to sign for Chelsea, who have won the race with Newcastle to recruit him. If he does move to Stamford Bridge, this will be a big test of his credentials as the Blues try to find a successor to defensive enforcer Thiago Silva.
