Chelsea have been one of the most active clubs in terms of recruiting young talent from across the world in recent transfer windows. The west London side's owners BlueCo have often used Chelsea's sister clubs to develop young talents before offering them the opportunity to join the two-time European champions.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The same is now set to happen this January as journalist Fabrice Hawkins has reported that Chelsea are set to sign Sarr from their sister club Strasbourg for a fee of around €20 million (£16.9m/$20.8m) and the will tie Sarr down to a long-term contract. The Blues will then have to wait until the 2025-26 season to receive the defender's services as they plan to send the centre-back back to the Ligue 1 side on a six-month loan.
DID YOU KNOW?
Strasbourg signed Sarr last summer from Olympique Lyon by taking advantage of their Ligue 1 rival’s need to sell over the summer to maintain their compatibility with financial regulations. Under head coach Liam Rosenior, Sarr has established himself as a consistent starter after missing the season's opening three games.
