Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho is set to attend the ceremonial groundbreaking of Greenville Triumph SC's new stadium in Mauldin, S.C.. The event marks a significant milestone for the USL League One club as they begin construction on their 10,000-seat multi-use sports and entertainment venue at BridgeWay Station. The new stadium project, announced on Oct. 30, 2024, represents a major step forward for the club and the city of Mauldin. The $80-100 million facility is part of a development agreement with Hughes Investments at BridgeWay Station.
Greenville Triumph Chairman Joe Erwin expressed his excitement about the project, in October 2024, stating "This stadium will be a place where our entire community comes together to celebrate, to compete, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. In addition to the Triumph and Liberty teams, we will allow young athletes of all shapes, sizes, races, and religions, to come here and play in this great stadium. This is your stadium: The peoples' stadium."
