Barcelona star Mariona Caldentey linked with Washington Spirit and Women's Super League clubs after seeing contract renewal talks stall

After spending a decade at the club, the Spanish striker seems destined for a fresh challenge with several suitors already enquiring about her services.

The stalled negotiations signal a potential opportunity for Washington Spirit and the WSL club to swoop in and make enticing offers to the player. It is believed that Spirit are ready to begin negotiations with her representatives for a potential transfer of the player to strengthen their attack.
