Another Barcelona money-making scheme?! Blaugrana launch TATTOO collection in bizarre world first for a football club

In collaboration with the Catalan tattoo studio Oshun, the club has launched more than 30 official designs "ranging from black ink pieces to colorful representations of iconic elements such as the Barça crest, the Spotify Camp Nou, and other emblematic symbols and slogans," according to an official press release. Fans have been invited to mark this launch by getting inked at a special event at the Barca Store Canaletes next month.

This is the first time a major football club has released a collection of club-affiliated tattoos, and the initiative is closely tied to the club itself with each tattoo including an official numbered certificate that gets customers access to special benefits and discounts on top of an experienced related to the club's revamped Spotify Camp Nou home stadium. The project has been called 'Barcelona per sempre' which translates as 'Barcelona forever'.

An official club statement read: “Barça per sempre” is a pioneering initiative, not only in the world of football, but also globally, as it marks the first official tattoo collection by an iconic brand. For this project, FC Barcelona has partnered with the Catalan company Oshun to strengthen the emotional connection with its fans by offering a product that aligns with modern trends. With “Barça per sempre,” FC Barcelona not only celebrates its historic journey but also strengthens the passion and pride of being a culé, inviting fans worldwide to carry that sentiment on their skin permanently."

This news comes as Hansi Flick's men's first team prepare for their final fixture of 2024, a crucial clash against another side vying for the 2024-25 La Liga title, Atletico Madrid, taking place on Saturday night. A win is likely to leave Barca top of the table going into the New Year.
