Casey was reportedly offered a new deal by Arsenal earlier this year but the 18-year-old snubbed their advances. Now, The Standard states the teenager will head to London rivals Palace, with the attacking midfielder technically out of contract at present.

Casey, who was regular for Arsenal's under-18s and has trained with the first-team squad, has been offered a professional deal at Palace. Arsenal have agreed a compensation package and a sell-on clause for a player who was also targeted by Norwich City.

âWhen I was younger I was a Liverpool fan and loved watching Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho,â Casey told Arsenalâs official website. âBut now, playing for Arsenal, I really look up to Odegaard. Heâs a top player.â
