Arsenal to rival Chelsea! Gunners step up transfer interest in Real Madrid's Rodrygo as mystery surrounds attacker's future

Arsenal are already holding talks about a possible bid for the winger, Sky Sport in Germany reports, with the Gunners exploring all options as they believe getting a deal over the line will be complicated. The north Londoners have even dropped their interest in Leroy Sane to pursue Rodrygo instead.

GOAL revealed on Tuesday that Chelsea are also preparing an offer for the 24-year-old and have already been in touch with his agent to sound him out about a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Rodrygo's future at Madrid has come into question as he is no longer guaranteed a place in the Madrid starting XI since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, though he has managed 50 appearances in all competitions this season.

A summer exit appears to be a possibility for Rodrygo, but Arsenal or Chelsea will reportedly have to spend around £85 million ($114m) to convince Madrid to sell him this summer.
