WHAT HAPPENED?
Lookman was one of the significant stars for Atalanta last season after helping the Italian side win the Europa League, their first major title since 1963. However, the Nigerian winger is looking to leave the club this summer with a move to Paris Saint-Germain on the cards before the Ligue 1 champions failed to make a 'genuine' proposal to Atalanta.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Sportitalia has claimed that Arsenal are looking to make an enormous offer for Lookman this summer. The report claims that the Gunners are preparing a bid worth €50 million (£42.5m/$55.7m) plus bonuses but could include Jakub Kiwior in the deal to lower the fee. A loan with an option to buy is also on the cards as the transfer window draws to a close.
DID YOU KNOW?
Lookman had been left out of the Atalanta squad for the Serie A opener on Monday against Lecce on his own demand. As per the Sportitalia report, he also refused to participate in training on Wednesday, August 21 as he looks to force a move away as soon as possible.

WHAT NEXT FOR LOOKMAN?
The 26-year-old has also seen interest from Liverpool over a summer move as the Reds look to make their first signing under new head coach Arne Slot. With Lookman trying to force an exit, it is possible that his departure could be sorted before the end of the window.
