  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Italian publicationCalcio Mercato, Conte has put the feelers out to convince his old club to recruit him after two eventful years at Stamford Bridge between 2016 and 2018. However, Tuttosport claims Chelsea are keeping tabs on Bologna's Motta, who has impressed at the Serie A side.

    Conte has not managed since leaving Tottenham by mutual consent in March 2023. He has won trophies as a manager with Chelsea, Juventus, and Inter but whether he returns to the west London outfit remains to be seen. While his style of play is seen as more defensive and counter-attacking, Motta may be viewed as a more progressive and offensive alternative.
