'What a player' - Alisha Lehmann sends touching message to Juventus legend after title party

Lehmann bagged the first title of her career in her maiden campaign in Italy as Juventus finished the season at the top of the table with 55 points from 26 matches. After the celebrations were over, the Swiss footballer took to social media to pay tribute to club legend Gama, who is all set to bring the curtain down on her illustrious career at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Lehmann took to Instagram and wrote a heartwarming message on her story, which read: "All the things she's done for women's football, and what a player she's been. So much respect for you and it was a pleasure I could play with you on the field."

While Lehmann enjoyed success with Juventus, off the field, she is going through a tough time following her reported split from her boyfriend and fellow Juventus star Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian was a notable absentee during the celebrations after Juventus won the Scudetto last month.

With the Serie A title sealed, the Switzerland international will now aim to win a double as Juventus next face AS Roma in the Italian Women's Cup final on Saturday.
