Alessia Russo speaks out as Lionesses star's BROTHER Giorgio enters Love Island villa just days before England begin Euro 2025 campaign

Giorgio Russo has joined Love Island 2025 as a bombshell, entering the infamous villa Sa Vinyassa, as he looks for love and potentially television stardom, days before his sister and her England team-mates kick off their European Championship defence in Switzerland. Gio, a 30-year-old account manager, has settled in Australia, but he was present as his sister won the Champions League with Arsenal in Portugal, as they beat Barcelona 1-0 in the final.

Russo has now spoken out about Gio's decision to head into the villa, with the striker revealing that she and her Lionesses team-mates will be watching closely when they have free time at the Euros. England kick off their tournament against France on July 5, and will also play the Netherlands and Wales in a tough group.

Russo told BBC Sport: "He was so excited and I just want my family to be happy and I know it's an experience that you don't often get in your life so we're all watching as a team, which is nice. Everyone's invested and wants him to do really well but it's a nice bit of entertainment for us of an evening to get together and watch as a team."

Asked if he had packed an England shirt, she replied: "I don't know if he packed an England shirt! But I do think, however he does, in the villa, as soon as he's out, he'll be coming straight to Switzerland."

Russo will next be in action for England against Jamaica in a pre-tournament friendly on June 29, while her brother looks to couple up in the villa.
