Aleksandar Mitrovic hospitalised due to rapid heartbeat – Al-Hilal’s prolific former Fulham striker requires ‘complete rest’ after health scare

According to reports in Saudi Arabia, the Serbian striker was taken to Al-Habib Hospital, Al-Suwaidi, in Riyadh, on Sunday morning because of a "rapid heartbeat due to physical stress". The report adds that an attending physician has recommended "complete rest" for Mitrovic.

Mitrovic, who only recently returned to action from a hamstring injury, scored in Al-Hilal's 2-0 Saudi Pro League win at Al-Feiha on Friday so this is a sudden and worrying news update.

Mitrovic, who missed nearly two months with a hamstring problem, has scored 21 goals and bagged three assists for Al-Hilal this season.
