  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Getafe manager Jose Bordalas has admitted he may be forced into sanctioning the departure of Nigeria international Uche. The versatile 22-year-old signed for the Spanish side last year and enjoyed a positive first season in La Liga, contributing four goals and six assists as his side finished 13th. Uche also made a brilliant start to the current campaign as he scored and assisted in Getafe's 2-0 victory at Celta Vigo on Sunday.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to Marca - relayed in a report from Sport Witness - Premier League sides Wolves and Brentford are both interested in Uche, though AS claim it is Leeds and Sunderland who are 'best placed' to sign him. The former Moralo and Ceuta star has a reported €25 million (£21.6m/$29.2m) release clause in his current contract but Getafe are thought to be willing to make a sale for €20m as they need funds to register some players.

  • WHAT BORDALAS SAID

Speaking about the club's current transfer predicament, Bordalas told DAZN: “We’ll have to release some so we can register all or almost all of them. I wouldn’t like Uche or anyone to leave, but we have to accept the offers we have, and there are several.”
