    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Zalewski has featured in 12 matches for the club, scoring once and providing one assist. The hierarchy at Inter have appreciated his performances and now consider him as the backup to left-wing-back Federico Dimarco. The 23-year-old notably set up Inter's equaliser against fierce rivals AC Milan back in February, despite playing only 14 minutes.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Zalewski scored his first and so far only goal for Inter in their 2-0 win over Torino on Sunday. The victory moved them to within one point of league leaders Napoli, who were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Genoa. The Poland international has earned 27 caps and scored three goals for his country.

    WHAT'S NEXT FOR INTER MILAN?

Inter will play Lazio and Como in Serie A as they attempt to pip Napoli to the league title, before turning their attention to the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 31. Victory in either competition - particularly in Europe - is likely to strengthen Simone Inzaghi's transfer budget, ensuring more new arrivals this summer.
