WATCH: Brilliant new MUNDIAL film on the birth of U.S. Soccer available online now

Ten years before Pele, 30 years before MLS, and 56 years before Lionel Messi, the United Soccer Association was the first professional soccer league in the USA. A 12-team tournament played out across the whole of North America in the summer of 1967. It changed everything.

1967: When Wolves Conquered The USA, a brand new film by MUNDIAL and Wolves Studios, explores this untold story in incredible detail, and you can now watch it online here.

Clubs from around the world were invited to spread the football gospel, with teams such as Aberdeen, Stoke City, Uruguay’s Cerro, the Netherlands’ ADO Den Haag, and Brazil’s Bangu Atletico Clube representing cities across the continent.

LA Wolves

Wolves represented pioneering owner Jack Kent Cooke’s Los Angeles team: becoming the LA Wolves… and winning the whole thing.

As Alan Rothenberg, the former president of U.S. Soccer says in the film: “I think people will look back and say, what was the history of soccer in this country? And when they do, they have to land in 1967 and say ‘This is where it all began'."

Wolves have also released an exclusive merchandise collection to celebrate the release of the film featuring hoodies, T-shirts, and caps. Click here to get your hands on it.
