Bertrand Traore of Ajax

WATCH: Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore scores sweet solo goal

Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore continued his fine run of form on Sunday when he scored the opening goal in Ajax’s 2-0 victory over Sparta with a spectacular individual effort.

The winger was making his return to Peter Bosz’s side having starred for Burkina Faso enroute to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, and it took the 21-year-old only 45 minutes to get on the score-sheet as he helped Ajax reduce the gap on Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord to five points.

Picking the ball up in a wide area, Traore twisted past three defenders before wrong-footing goalkeeper Ryan Korsmit with a low drive into the corner on the stroke of half-time.
