Sunday Adetunji states mission to Enyimba

Enyimba new signing, Sunday Adetunji has disclosed that his mission to the People’s Elephant after joining from Abia Warriors.

He was captured on loan for the remainder of the season by Enyimba and he is available for the team’s Caf Confederation Cup and remaining league matches of the season.

He expressed his delight at joining the twice African champions and that he is looking forward to having a worthwhile experience with his new club.

“I have signed a loan deal until the end of the season and I am happy about it,” Adetunji told Goal.

“I see Enyimba as the right place for me to develop and I am looking forward to helping them win titles. It was an easy decision for me and the prospect of playing in the Caf Confederation Cup makes it easier.

“I want to thank Abia Warriors for granting me my wish. I know what I can do and with my change of environment, I will do my best to ensure that Enyimba are able to win titles again. I have put behind me my injury nightmare and I’m now concentrating on staying fit and helping my team.”

The ex-Shooting Stars striker said his immediate task is to ensure that Enyimba give a good account of themselves in Abidjan as they tackle Williamsville in a Caf Confederation Cup tie this weekend.

“We have a crucial tie against Williamsville and it is our resolve to ensure that we are not disgraced in Abidjan,” he continued.

“I will do my best to offer my service if I am selected but the overall goal is to leave Abidjan with at least a point. We are not intimidated. We will play with all we have and expect a good result at the end.”
