Australia centre-back Matt Spiranovic will miss "a significant amount of time" with a quad injury.
Spiranovic suffered the injury during pre-season training with Chinese second-division club Hangzhou Greentown.
Australia coach Ange Postecoglou revealed the injury at Wednesday’s press conference to announce his latest 30-man Socceroos squad.
“He’s injured. He picked up an injury in pre-season,” Postecoglou said of the 28-year-old.
“He’ll be out for a significant amount of time.
“It’s still not clear the extent but the early signs are that he’ll be missing for a little while.
“He wasn’t even in consideration (for the Australia squad).”
