The Vice President of The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Michael Wambura has been banned from football for life by the Disciplinary Committee after being found guilty of three corruption charges.
The former FAT General Secretary had been charged for payment of illegal money (Tsh. Million 84), forgeries of documents and conspiracy to commit an offense of receiving money from the former President of TFF Jamal Malinzi and his General Secretary Andrew Mwesigwa.
Wambura who won the election last year to be in the position did not attend the hearing on Wednesday and the Disciplinary Committee announced on their press conference that he is banned from all football-related activities for life with immediate effect. That means he will no longer be the Chairman of Mara region football association.
