Liverpool launch new violet away kit for 2018-19 season

Liverpool have launched their new away kit ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The Reds have unveiled a new violet shirt as they gear up for another season under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool are no strangers to the colour with the club having also used purple on their 2013-14 third kit - a campaign in which they narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title.

The Merseysiders have also launched their new goalkeeper away kit, which sees a return to green following last season's black strip.

Fans will no doubt be keen to discover whether they will be able to get a new name on the back of their shirts as Liverpool remain keen to strengthen in the transfer window this summer.

Klopp's side have already made one new signing, securing the signature of midfielder Fabinho from Monaco.

Liverpool were also keen to land highly-rated Lyon and France forward Nabil Fekir, only for the move to collapse late on.

They had been in talks over a £60 million (€68m/$80m) transfer deal with Lyon but the Ligue 1 side released a statement on Friday confirming their star man was staying.

Goal understands Liverpool have already discussed alternatives following the breakdown of Fekir's transfer with Klopp still hopeful of signing a new attacking midfielder.

Liverpool will discover when they will first wear their new away kit in the Premier League when the fixtures for the 2018-19 season are announced on 14 June at 9:00am BST (4:00am ET).
