Lopetegui not in the running for Mexico job


Ex-Real Madrid and Spain coach Julen Lopetegui is not being considered for the Mexico job, according to ESPN

Early reports had suggested that the Basque, sacked on Monday, could be given an instant return to football with El Tri. 

But he is not in the running, while prime candidate Gerardo Martino is torn between Mexico and Argentina, who are keen to see him return to the post he left in 2016.

Ricardo 'Tuca' Ferretti has been in charge since the end of the World Cup, and will sit on the bench for November's friendly double-header against Argentina.

Wolves reach €18m agreement with Sporting over Rui Patricio


Wolves have announced that they have reached an €18 million (£16m/$20m) agreement with Sporting CP for the transfer of Rui Patricio.

The Portugal international goalkeeper cancelled his deal with Sporting in the summer after an attack by some of the club's supporters following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Patricio would go on to join Wolves on a free transfer, which did not go over well with Sporting.

Ajax rule out January exit for De Jong and De Ligt


Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has said that in-demand pair Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt won't be leaving the club in January. 

Several of Europe's biggest clubs have been in pursuit of the Dutch international duo. 

Goal understands Barca and Manchester City are both trying to sign midfielder De Jong, and the Liga side believe that the Premier League champions have the edge in the race for the 21-year-old.

Arsenal tell Ramsey why he won't be back


Arsenal have explained to Aaron Ramsey why they won't be extending his contract, according to Sky Sports News. 

The midfielder will see his deal expire at the end of the season, and is resigned to the fact he'll be departing the Gunners in the summer. 

Ramsey was unhappy that nobody with the club had explained their rationale for not extending his deal, but that conversation has now reportedly taken place. 

De Jong and De Ligt want to play for Barca - Cillessen


Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen believes his international team-mates Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt wish to join him at the Cam Nou. 

The Ajax pair are being closely watched by several of Europe's elite teams, with a bidding war expected in January or next summer. 

But the Dutch goalkeeper thinks that his side have a leg up in the race for the highly rated duo.

Diaz refusing to sign new City deal amid Madrid interest


Manchester City attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz is refusing to extend his contract with the club, according to The Times.

The 19-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season, and he could join Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer with the Champions League winners keen to sign him.

Diaz has made just one start this season and is growing frustrated at a lack of game time in Manchester. 

Barcelona willing to sell Dembele in January


The Blaugrana are ready to move on from the 21-year-old

Goal understands that Barcelona are open to selling Ousmane Dembele this January.

The Blaugrana invested €105 million plus a reported €40m in potential add-ons in Dembele last summer, but the winger has failed to live up to expectations at the Camp Nou.

Barca are willing to take a loss on their investment to move on from Dembele, who has alienated many at the club during his time in Catalonia.

Di Maria extends PSG contract to 2021


PSG have announced that Angel Di Maria has extended his contract with the club through 2021. 

The 30-year-old Argentine's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season. 

PSG contact Gladbach over Cuisance


Paris Saint-Germain have made contact with Borussia Monchengladbach over the availability of Michael Cuisance, according to Paris United.

The 19-year-old midfielder played 24 league games for Gladbach last season, and has represented France at the U-19 level. 

The report also states PSG are monitoring the progress of another French midfielder abroad: Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure. 

De Jong and De Ligt keen on Barcelona says Cillessen


Ajax duo Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt would like to play for Barcelona, according to fellow Netherlands international Jasper Cillessen.

Both players are reportedly being pursued by Manchester City with the Premier League champions believed to have stolen a march in the race to secure the Dutch youngsters.

Juventus keen on Mata as contract ticks down


Juventus are making eyes at Juan Mata with the Spaniard about to enter the final six months of his contract, report the Evening Standard. 

Jose Mourinho is eager for the Manchester United board to tie Mata down to a renewed deal, especially with the player free to speak to foreign clubs as a of January, but the Italian champions are hopeful of luring him to Turin.

A return to Spain remains an option for Mata with Valencia and Oviedo reportedly interested.

Wenger rules himself out of Real Madrid running


Arsene Wenger is the latest coach to take himself out of the running for the Real Madrid job. The former Arsenal boss has reaffirmed his desire to return to management but "only in the new year", report talkSPORT.  

Antonio Conte and Michael Laurdup have both been linked with the position made vacant by the sacking of Julen Lopetegui on Monday but neither coach is prepared to walk into the Bernabeu as an emergency measure. 

Aston Villa line up audacious Koscielny bid


Aston Villa are interested in signing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, according to Calciomercato.

The Frenchman has been told he can leave the club to find regular first-team football, and the Championship side could be a shock option.

Wolves eye double Napoli swoop


Wolves want to sign both Mario Rui and Amadou Diawara from Napoli, per CalcioNapoli24.

Jorge Mendes has begun negotiations with the Italian club over their potential signings, with Wolves already preparing to strengthen their squad in January.

Aubameyang forced Arsenal move with poor behaviour


Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's poor behavior forced through his move to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund, according to the Bundesliga club's former boss.

Peter Stoger told Bild that the Gabon international would miss team meetings and refused to train properly during his final weeks at the club in January.

Edinson Cavani is not thinking about a move back to Napoli as he prepares to return to the Stadio San Paulo with PSG in the Champions League next month.

Dortmund triple Sancho's wages


Borussia Dortmund have tripled Jadon Sancho's wages as part of the new deal he signed with the club earlier this month, according to Bild. 

The 18 year-old has made a blistering start to the season in Germany, scoring four times and assisting six, and recently registered his first Champions League goal as Dortmund beat Atletico Madrid 4-0.

Sancho made his England debut against Croatia in the Nations League earlier in October.

Antonio Conte has ruled himself out of the running to be Real Madrid's new manager as he doesn't believe the project is right for him, according to Sky Sports

Conte had been widely tipped to replace Julen Lopetegui who was sacked on Monday, but will instead now extend his sabbatical from management until the summer.

Malcom seeks clarification from Valverde


Barcelona forward Malcom has met with boss Ernesto Valverde to clarify his future with the club, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Brazilian has hardly featured since joining from Bordeaux in the summer and held talks with Valverde to discuss his lack of opportunities. 

The Barca boss reportedly told the player he is happy with his application and performances but has favoured other options in attack so far this season.

Despite failing to make the MLS playoffs one year on from setting a points record, there seems to be little panic in Toronto. 

Club general manager Tim Bezbatchenko played down talk of a complete rebuild for TFC in his end-of-season press conference on Tuesday, saying: “I don't think a massive overhaul needs to take place. This team isn't done, this roster isn't done. There is a drive, a collective mentality from this group. They want to go out and compete.”

The player is currently renegotiating his contract at San Siro, with his €38 million (£34m/$43m) buyout clause an attractive prospect for the two Champions League hopefuls.

Rusnak says contract situation will be clear soon


Real Salt Lake star Albert Rusnak says his contract situation will be clear "before the end of the season."

The designated player had held reportedly contentious talks over a new deal, though he supposedly agreed to a new contract last month to make him the highest-paid player in the team's history. 

However no deal has been announced and Rusnak told the Salt Lake Tribune: “I believe before the end of the season that everybody will know what’s going on. So I’m trying to not focus on that anymore.”

Laudrup turned down Real Madrid


Michael Laudrup turned down a chance to replace Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid, according to AS.

The former Madrid player and Swansea manager is currently out of a club but does not believe it is the right time to return to the club.

His agent told AS it is "not the right moment" while a source told the publication Laudrup considers what is happening on the field for Madrid a disaster. 

Tottenham players worried Pochettino might leave


Tottenham players are concerned manager Mauricio Pochettino might leave the club this summer, reports the Telegraph.

Sources close to the manager say he's not willing to leave midseason, but his players worry the lure of Manchester United or Real Madrid could pry him away following the 2018-19 campaign.

The outlook will grow even bleaker if there are any further delays to Tottenham moving into their new stadium, which may not be ready until February. 

Rabiot leaning toward rejected bumper contract


Adrien Rabiot has been offered a contract worth €8 million (£7m/$9m) by Paris Saint-Germain but is leaning toward rejecting it, according to Calciomercato.

The midfielder, who is in the last year of his deal, had a new deal negotiated by his agent and PSG director Antero Henrique.

However, Rabiot is leaning toward rejecting it due to negative pressure he's received in France, along with the desire to play in a new league.

Juventus and Milan are monitoring the situation and ready to strike of talks fall through.

Man Utd discuss offloading Sanchez to PSG


The Red Devils believe he could serve as a replacement for Neymar or Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United have discussed plans to offload Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, according to the Sun.

Sanchez had been linked to PSG last winter and has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford, with his position in the team coming under threat.

With massive wages, United are considering moving on from Sanchez and they believe PSG will be interested, should the Ligue 1 champions lose either Neymar or Kylian Mbappe, as expected.
