Traore move to Fiorentina not yet official

Fiorentina's move for Hamed Junior Traorè from Empoli is still not official according to gianlucadimarzio.com.

Traore agreed to a move in January and signed a contract until 2023 with him to join Fiorentina in July, but has to undergo further medical testing during the next international break bfore the move is official.

Toluca fires Cristante ahead of CCL second leg

Hernan Cristante, a former goalkeeper for Toluca who made more than 400 appearances as a player, is no longer the manager of the team.

The club announced the decision in a news release Monday, confirming he had been fired after going winless in seven straight games.

Toluca suffered back-to-back heavy defeats, losing the first leg of their Concacaf Champions League tie with Sporting KC 3-0 and then to Santos Laguna 4-0 last weekend.

Martinez not in running for Leicester job

Belgium national team head coach Roberto Martinez is not in the mix to take over at Leicester City, according to Sky Sports.

The Foxes are on the hunt for a new manager after Claude Puel was sacked on Sunday.

Martinez, who previously managed Swansea, Wigan and Everton in the England, has seen his stock rise over the past year after leading the Red Devils to a third-place finish at the 2018 World Cup.

Nicolo Zaniolo may have caught the eye of the likes of Juventus and Chelsea recently, but the 19-year-old midfielder has no interest in leaving Roma.

Zaniolo has impressed with Eusebio Di Francesco's team, scoring five times since joining from Inter last summer. Juve and Chelsea are two of the clubs said to be preparing to move in for him, but his father says he will be signing a new contract with Roma soon.

Igor Zaniolo told Corriere dello Sport: "At the end of the season there will be a meeting with Roma for the renewal, there will be no problems. On both sides there is a willingness to conclude the negotiations positively."

Watford star's contract runs out in 2020

Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are monitoring Watford star Gerard Deulofeu, Calciomercato reports.

The 24-year-old attacker has been one of the Hornets' most important players this season, scoring six goals and setting up four in the Premier League.

His contract expires in 2020, however, and one of his former teams, Milan, fancy giving him another chance in Serie A. However, the Bundesliga leaders have shown an interest too and may try to lure him to the Germany.

Lille ready to sell Man Utd, Chelsea, Barca & Bayern target

Europe's richest clubs have been given the all clear to ready their bids for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe as he looks destined for a summer move.

The 23-year-old has caught the eye of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, according to TelefootHe has already been the subject of a €70 million (£61m/$79m) offer from Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG, but Ivory Coast international refused the giant salary they were willing to give him. 

But Lille have acknowledged they are going to lose him soon, as Pepe is waiting for an approach from one of Europe's top divisions at the end of the season.

Sporting director Luis Campos told Telefoot: "We are not a rich club. It means that if a really good proposal comes for Pepe, we have to sell him."

Stuani confirms Barca approach in January

Barcelona were interested in signing Girona’s Cristhian Stuani in January, the striker himself has confirmed.

Only Barca's Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have found the net more times this season than Stuani, and there were reports in January that the reigning champions were looking to raid their local Catalan rivals to bring the striker to Camp Nou.

Stuani had declined to comment on those rumours in January but has now opened up about the process, admitting on RAC1’s ‘Tu Diras’ radio show that Barca did come for him in the winter window.

Dalot looking to spend 'many years' at Man Utd

Diogo Dalot is looking to spend “many, many years” at Manchester Unitedhaving previously been told by Jose Mourinho that he is capable of emulating Gary Neville at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old defender joined United on a £19 million ($25m) deal in the summer of 2018 and though he was considered the future, has played a prominent role in the present after taking in 11 appearances.

The youngster admits that he is still on a steep learning curve in new surroundings, but is intending to stick around and become a long-serving member of the Red Devils’ squad.

Toronto FC increase offer for Pozuelo

Toronto FC and Genk will talk again on Monday about a transfer of Alejandro Pozuelo after the MLS side raised its offer, according to HLN Sport.

The sticking point is over the 27-year-old playmaker's arrival, with Toronto wanting him to arrive in March, but Genk pushing for an arrival after the end of the Belgian season in May.

However, the close of the Belgian season is just days after the close of the primary MLS transfer window, which would block Pozuelo from featuring from Toronto until July. 

With the increase of Toronto's offer, there is some hope for a conclusion to the talks on Monday. 

Rabiot tipped for Liverpool switch

He has said: “Sadly it is not safe for me to play on and I was devastated when the doctor broke the news. However, I am coming to terms with it quite quickly and am so thankful to all the medical staff who have helped me.  

"I could have had an operation to try and carry on playing, but at 34 it would have been risky and stupid to do so. I have to think about my future more than football now."

Pozuelo plays for Genk amid Toronto speculation

Alejandro Pozuelo played 90 minutes for Genk against Royal Antwerp on Sunday, despite speculation of an imminent move to Toronto FC.
