Barcelona were unable to sign Eric Garcia before deadline day, but the club is still pushing to add the Manchester City star.

The Catalan club is in negotiations with the defender on a new contract for the 2020-21 season, according to ESPN.

Garcia has one more year left on his Manchester City contract.

Real Betis add Miranda on loan


Real Betis have signed Juan Miranda on loan, the club confirmed.

The fullback joins the club on a one-season loan, joining from Barcelona after spending last season on loan with Schalke.

Miranda had been with Betis for six seasons before joining Barca.

Rudiger's move to Spurs falls through due to fear of angering supporters


Antonio Rudiger has decided not to move to Spurs due to his fear of upsetting Chelsea supporters, reports the Athletic.

Rudiger had positive talks with Jose Mourinho and was open to the move, but opted not to join Chelsea's rivals due to his desire to remain in the good graces of Blues supporters.

The German had previously been linked with AC Milan, Roma, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Nottingham Forest sign Cafu


Nottingham Forest have signed Cafu, the club confirmed.

The midfielder joins the club from Greek side Olympiacos on a one-year loan deal.

Cafu has previously played for Benfica, Lorient, Metz and Legia Warsaw.

Fulham add Danish defender Andersen on loan


Fulham have signed Joachim Andersen, the club announced.

Andersen joins from Lyon and will spend this season on loan with the Premier League club.

Nice make late push for Reine-Adelaide


Nice are making a late push to sign Jeff Reine-Adelaide, reports Telefoot.

Reine-Adelaide's potential move to Hertha Berlin fell through on Monday after the player could not come to terms with the German side.

That opened the door for Nice, who is negotiating a deal to complete a last-minute signing.

Brenden Aaronson will leave the Philidelphia Union for Red Bull Salzburg in January, believes.

The player has passed his medical in Austria and the deal is all but done.

Diallo completes Strasbourg switch


Cuisance joins Marseille on loan


Bayern Munich's Michael Cuisance has moved to Marseille on a loan deal.

Cuisance joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2019 and played 11 matches in his first season with the club. 

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: “Michael wants regular matches. He will also play in the Champions League with Olympique Marseille. Michael will go his own way, the decision now will help him and Olympique."

Juventus confirm Chiesa deal


Juventus have completed the signing of Federico Chiesa, the club confirmed.

Chiesa heads to Juve from Fiorentina on a loan deal with an option to buy.

West Ham cancel Wilshere deal


West Ham and Jack Wilshere have cancelled the midfielder's deal by mutual consent, reports the Guardian.

The midfielder joined the club from Arsenal in 2018, but struggled to remain healthy during his time with the club.

Wilshere made just 18 appearances across two seasons with West Ham.

Rashica's Leverkusen move falls through


Milot Rashica will remain at Bayer Leverkusen after a potential move to Werder Bremen has fallen through, reports Kicker.

The two sides could not come to terms on a purchase option for what would have been a loan move, with the deal now completely dead.

RB Leipzig and Aston Villa had previously been among Rashica's suitors.

Everton a potential landing spot for Gazzaniga


Everton are a potential landing spot for Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, reports the Athletic.

Liverpool have been linked to the goalkeeper as well, but the Reds are not interested in the Argentine.

Everton, too, are hesitant, but Tottenham are hoping to complete a deal soon.

Fiorentina add Callejon


Fiorentina have completed a move for Spanish winger Jose Callejon, the club confirmed.

Callejon joins after from Napoli on a free transfer after spending seven seasons with the Serie A side.

Last season, the winger scored four goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. 

Arsenal scramble to complete Partey deal


Arsenal are scrambling to complete a deal to sign Thomas Partey.

The club has paid the midfielder's release clause, with Partey now on his way to London to complete the deal.

Jean-Kevin Augustin has come to terms on a deal to join Nantes, reports L'Equipe.

Augustin has been out of contract since May, when he left his loan spell at Leeds.

Bonazzoli heads to Turin after scoring six goals in 19 appearances for Sampdoria last season.

A potential loan move to Manchester United has fallen apart, with Barcelona being the side that cancelled the deal.

Barca would have sanctioned a loan deal if Dembele added another year to his current contract, but Dembele was convinced to add that year to his deal.

Chris Smalling is close to sealing his move to Roma, reports Di Marzio.

Lyon star Jeff Reine-Adelaide has declined an offer from Hertha Berlin, reports L'Equipe.

The two clubs had been working to come to a deal, but Reine-Adelaide was not convinced by a move to the German side.

Manchester City are not expecting to add any new signings on transfer deadline day but there could be a number of exits.

A new left-back was a possibility in the final days of the window with Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico a potential target.

Despite being available for around £23 million ($29m), City are set to stick with Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko as their options for the rest of the season.

Manchester United are in talks to sign Ismaila Sarr from Watford - according to The Athletic.

The Hornets have rejected an initial loan bid from the Red Devils for the 22-year-old, and are only willing to sanction his departure on a permanent basis.

Negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing, with United weighing up a £45 million ($58m) swoop for Sarr as Watford demand at least £20 million ($26m) upfront.

Wolves set to open contract talks with Traore


Wolves are set to open talks over a new contract with Adama Traore - according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old's current deal does not expire until 2023, but the Wanderers are eager to tie him down to another long-term agreement.

Traore has featured in all four of Wolves' Premier League matches at the start of the new season, but has yet to find the back of the net.

Arsenal make £45m move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Partey


Arsenal have made a late move to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid before tonight’s transfer deadline, Goal has learned.

The Ghana international - who has a release clause of £45 million (€50m/$58m) - has been a priority target for the Gunners all summer.

Discussions with Atletico have taken place during the past few months, with Arsenal hoping to land the midfielder for a fee less than his release clause, but Atletico have consistently stated that the only way Partey will be leaving this summer is if that clause is activated.

Juventus close to sealing €50m deal for Chiesa


Juventus have reached an agreement with Fiorentina and Federico Chiesa to bring the winger to Turin, Goal can confirm. 

The 22-year-old will join Andrea Pirlo's side on an initial two-year loan with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. 

Juventus will pay around €2 million for the first year of the loan deal, which will rise to €8m for the second season. Chiesa's stint in Turin would then have to be made permanent for a fee of around €40m ($47m) if certain conditions are met.

Ronald Koeman is not sure where Ousmane Dembele will be playing when the transfer window closes as the Barcelona forward continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Dembele has reportedly emerged as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho for Premier League giants Man Utd, who are determined to bolster their squad before Monday's deadline.
