Whitecaps re-sign Reyna and Felipe


The Vanocuver Whitecaps have re-signed both Yordy Reyna and Felipe heading into the 2019 MLS season.

Reyna has signed a new contract through 2019 with options for 2020 and 2021 and has scored 13 goals while providing 15 assists in 57 appearances.

Felipe, meanwhile, agreed to a new deal through 2020 with an option for 2021 after joining the Whitecaps ahead of the 2018 campaign.

Zenit make offer for Barrios


Zenit have apparently found a Leandro Paredes replacement in the form of Wilmar Barrios.

According to Gianluca DiMarzio, the Boca Juniors midfielder is the club's prime target to replace the PSG-bound Paredes.

Barrios has made 17 appearances for Colombia's senior team while appearing 47 times for Boca Juniors since joining in 2016.


Genoa reaches loan deal for Lerager


Genoa have reached a deal to add Lukas Lerager on loan from Bordeaux, the club announced.

The deal includes a recall option for the Denmark midfielder, who has earned seven caps for his national team while being named to his country's World Cup squad this past summer.

The 25-year-old midfielder made 52 appearances for Bordeaux after joining the club in 2017 from Zulte Waregem.


FC Tokyo interested in Robben


Arjen Robben is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of theis season, and FC Tokyo can be counted among his list of suitors.

David Villa, Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres and Lukas Podolski are the more familiar names currenlty playing in Japan, and FC Tokyo are hopng Robben could soon join them.

Barreca nears move from Monaco to Newcastle


Antonio Barreca is set to join Newcastle following a six-month stint with Monaco, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

Barreca is set to fly to Newcastle on Wednesday for medicals to kickstart a loan deal.

Newcastle became interested after a deal for Jordan Lukaku fell through before completion.

Levante add Ruben Vezo on loan from Valencia


Levante have signed Ruben Vezo on a loan deal through the end of the season.

Vezo joins from Valencia, a club he joined during the 2013-14 season from Vitoria Setubal.

The Portuguese defender previously featured for Granada as well during a loan stint in 2016-17. 

Arsenal and Man City join race for Gueye


Arsenal and Manchester City have joined the race to sign Everton's Idrissa Gueye, Sky Sports reports.

PSG have been seen as the front-runners to sign the midfielder, but Everton have been unwilling to sell.

Gueye has been left out of the Everton squad for Tuesday's clash with Huddersfield Town.


Jese seals loan move to Betis


Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez has joined La Liga side Real Betis on loan. 

The 25-year-old has yet to play a single minute of competitive football so far in the 2018-19 season.

Southampton in talks for Olympiakos star


Southampton are in talks over a move for Olympiakos full-back Omar Elabdellaoui, reports The Sun. 

Elabdellaoui has been targeted as a replacement for Cedric Soares, who has joined Inter on loan. 

The Saints are willing to pay £4.5 million for the 27-year-old Norway international. 

Man Utd in talks to sell Fellaini to Chinese club


Goal understands Manchester United are in discussions with a Chinese club over the potential sale of Marouane Fellaini.

Fellaini was utilised frequently under Jose Mourinho, but has made just two substitute appearances thus far under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. 

Shandong Luneng Taishan have been credited with an interest in the 30-year-old.

Newcastle agree terms for Almiron transfer


The Atlanta United star appears to finally be on his way to the Premier League

Atlanta United and Newcastle have agreed terms on the transfer of Miguel Almiron, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. 

Newcastle have been after the 24-year-old since the end of the MLS season last month, with negotiatians stalling over a fee. 

But it appears the two sides have made a breakthrough, with the midfielder flying to Newcastle for a medical on Tuesday. 

Sacking Wenger cost Arsenal £17m


Arsenal paid out £17 million ($22m) to Arsene Wenger and his coaching staff after sacking the manager, The Times reports. 

The Gunners brought the Frenchman's 22-year reign at the club to an end in May 2018, with one year left on his contract. 

In order to end Wenger's time in charge Arsenal paid him the full amount left on his contract, along with payments to staff departing the club. 


Poch 'not optimistic' on January signings


Mauricio Pochettino says he is "not optimistic" when it comes to January signings.

The manager does not expect Tottenham to bring in any new faces in January despite several notable injuries.

Leeds sign Polish youth international Bogusz


Leeds United confirmed the signing of Polish youth international Mateusz Bogusz on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the club and will initially begin with the U-23 side.

Bogusz follows Kiko Casilla as the club's second winter signing.

Napoli and Inter enter chase for Almiron


Miguel Almiron has long been linked with Newcastle, but two new clubs have apparently entered the fray.

Inter Milan and Napoli are both in for the Atlanta United midfielder, according to the Northern Echo.

Newcastle have been unwilling to meet Atlanta united's asking price and, although neither Italian club has submitted an official offer, both are in the race ahead of the deadline.

Caceres returns to Juventus for third spell


Following the departure of Mehdi Benatia, a familiar face has joined Juventus as defensive depth.

Martin Caceres has returned to Juve, kickstarting his third stint with the Italian club.

The Uruguayan joins on loan from Lazio through the end of the season, providing the club with a player that won five Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia twice during his initial stays with the team.

Chievo add Diousse on loan


Chievo Verona have announced a loan deal to add Assane Diousse from Saint-Etienne.

Diousse will remain with the club for the rest of the campaign and has previous Serie A experience having played for Empoli in 2015-16.

The midfielder has earned two appearances for Senegal.


Pogba set to join Atlanta United


The defender will look to resume his career under Frank de Boer

Florentin Pogba is set to join Atlanta United in the coming days, according to L'Equipe.

The defender most recently had a trial with Elche following a stint with Genclerbirligi, but failed to catch on with the Spanish club.

Pogba has made 21 appearances for Guinea and previously featured for CS Sedan and Saint-Etienne.

Rangers goalkeeper Alnwick extends Scunthorpe loan


Rangers have announced that goalkeeper Jak Alnwick will remain with Scunthorpe United until the end of the season.

The two clubs agreed to an extension of the goalkeeper's loan deal on Tuesday after Alnwick helped guide the team to five wins and a draw over the last six matches.

Alnwick, who has a deal with Rangers through 2020, has made 20 total appearances since joining Scunthorpe on loan.

SPAL near loan for Murgia


SPAL are close to a loan deal to sign Alessandro Murgia, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

The midfielder is set to be on loan from Lazio through June, but there is a verbal agreement between the two clubs to extend the agreement for another year.

Murgia, 22, has made 47 appearances for Lazio over three seasons, but has made just two this campaign.

Real Madrid chasing Jovic


Youngster in demand

Real Madrid are targeting Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic - who is on loan from Benfica - as a long-term successor to Karim Benzema, AS reports.

The 21-year-old has been scoring for fun in the Bundesliga, with Eintracht expected to exercise their right to buy the player at the end of the season.

Madrid will have to act fast in negotiations, however, as Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest.

Ferreyra set for Belgium loan


Benfica striker Facundo Ferreyra is set to join Anderlecht on loan for one-and-a-half seasons, A Bola reports.

The deal, which will be made official after a medical, will see the 27-year-old return to Estadio da Luz at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Sydney FC sign Ghoochannejhad on loan


Sydney FC have strengthened their attack by signing former Iran international Reza Ghoochannejhad on loan from APOEL until the end of the season.

Ghoochannejhad joined the Cypriot club ahead of the 2018-19 campaign and scored two goals in 15 games before his loan move.

Sarri confirms Hudson-Odoi stay


Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will not leave Chelsea in the January window amid interest from Bayern Munich.

As reported by Goal, the 18-year-old handed in a transfer request in order to push through a move to the German champions, but it was rejected.

A summer move to the Bundesliga, however, is a possibility. Sarri said: "The club told me he is off the market, for sure.

"And, probably, he will be off the market in July, too. I don't know [if he'll be happy with that], but I can say what I see on the pitch. On the pitch at the moment, he's fantastic."

PSG not giving up on Gueye


Paris Saint-Germain will not give up on signing Everton's Idrissa Gueye before the January transfer window closes, le10sport claims.

Sky Sports reported on Monday that Everton looked set to reject a £21.5 million ($28m) bid, while the French outlet suggests the Toffees are looking for closer to £35m ($46m).

The player himself has handed in a transfer request and will look to work with the French champions, who are struggling with injuries in midfield, to make the move happen.

Sarri still waiting on second signing


Maurizio Sarri has reiterated that he is still hopeful that Chelsea will make a second signing in the January transfer window, with the Italian seeking a replacement for Cesc Fabregas.

"You know my opinion; I thought it was important to have two players," Sarri told a news conference on Tuesday. "One has arrived. I am waiting for another.

"If he arrived, I will be very happy. But I won't be too worried. I am happy to play with these players."

Arsenal to finalise Suarez loan deal


Arsenal are expected to finalise the loan signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona before Thursday's transfer deadline after a breakthrough in talks with the Catalan club, Goal understands.

Talks were initially at an advanced stage between the two clubs but broke down after Barcelona insisted on an obligation to buy clause being inserted in the loan agreement.

However, as many expected, the deal is now close to being finalised towards the end of the transfer window with Suarez keen on joining Arsenal following a phone conversation with Emery.

West Ham in talks over Fleck


Sheffield United's John Fleck is the subject of talks with West Ham over a £4milliion switch to the Hammers, report the Daily Record. 

The midfielder was once regarded as Scottish football's brightest young talent. 

Fleck has appeared 29 times for the Blades this term as Chris Wilder's side chase promotion to the Premier League.

Southgate to meet with Rice over international allegiance


England manager Gareth Southgate will meet with Declan Rice when West Ham play Wolves in the Premier League on Tuesday, report ESPN.

The defender is still able to switch his international allegiance to England having made just three friendly appearances for the Republic of Ireland, and Southgate will continue the battle to turn him towards the country of his birth.  

Juve hail returning Caceres


Juventus have made a glowing tribute to new signing Martin Caceres after the defender signed for his third spell at the club.

The Uruguay international has signed on a six-month loan from Lazio following the departure of Medhi Benatia.

In a statement on the club website, Juve said: "Caceres is one of those players who you can always tell wears his heart on his sleeve in his performances, whilst his goals have often been very important.

"His honours in Bianconero speak for themselves, winning five consecutive Serie A titles (2012-16), two Coppa Italias (2015 & 2016), three Italian Super Cups (2012, 2013 & 2015), accumulating a total of 110 matches and seven goals."

Milan set to test Everton over Lookman


Milan have reportedly made an approach for Everton's England Under-21 winger Ademola Lookman, according to Football Italia.

It is understood that the Serie A giants have been rebuffed in their pursuit of the 21 year-old, but are expected to return with a second offer ahead of the transfer deadline late this week.  

Celtic & Valencia eyeing Fulham starlet


Fulham youngster Tyrese Francois is attracting interest from Valencia and Celtic, according to Sky Sports.

Crystal Palace are also keen on the 18-year-old midfielder who will see his current contract expire in the summer.

Ake distanced from Chelsea return


Bournemouth have no intention of allowing Nathan Ake to return to Chelsea, or join any other club, while talk of a raid on Stamford Bridge for Danny Drinkwater has also been played down.

Eddie Howe has said: "The speculation, as it has been all January for us, has been purely that, as with all our players. We've had no contact from any other club, so it's business as usual."

Fellaini heading for Man Utd exit


Big Belgian bound for CSL

Marouane Fellaini is set to bring his time at Manchester United to a close by securing a switch to China, according to the Daily Mail.

Talks have been opened with interested parties and the Belgian has until February 28 to put a deal in place, when the Chinese Super League window slams shut.

Guangzou Evergrande had shown an interest in Fellaini last month, but the report claims another unnamed CSL are now at the head of the queue.

Denis Suarez will sign a new contract at Barcelona and complete a loan switch to Arsenal, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana midfielder has been a long-standing target for the Gunners and they are closing on a deal to take him to Emirates Stadium until the end of the season.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown will decide between staying at Parkhead and moving to Western Melbourne in Australia's A League after rejecting an offer to join Al-Wasl in Dubai, according to the Daily Record.

Chinese outfit in for Bayern's Wagner


Bayern Munich's Sandro Wagner is a target for Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Teda, accoring to BILD.

The club's German coach Uli Stielike is reportedly ready to break the bank to bring the Brazilian to China on a deal untill 2020. 

Wagner returned to Bayern from Hoffenheim only last year but has played a bit part for the Bundesliga champions.

PSG confirm Paredes signing


Paris Saint-Germain have fended off rival interest from the likes of Chelsea to snap up Leandro Paredes from Zenit St Petersburg on a deal through to 2023. 

Goal revealed last week that the Ligue 1 champions had edged to the front of the queue for the 24-year-old by tabling an offer worth a potential €45 million (£39m/$51m).

Those at Stamford Bridge were reluctant to match that bid, leaving the path clear for the Argentina international to head for Parc des Princes.

The 23 year-old Croatian has signed a deal until June 2019, and will help shore up the team's push for a Champions League place in La Liga.

Boca Juniors have completed the signing of Kevin Mac Allister, according to the club

The 21 year-old defender joins from Argentinos Juniors. 

Mac Allister has made 32 first-team appearances since breaking into the side in 2016.

Opara signs for Minnesota


Minnesota United have acquired 2017 MLS defender of the year Ike Opara in a trade with Sporting Kansas City. 

The Loons sent $900,000 in Targeted Allocation Money and up to $100,000 in future TAM considerations to Sporting KC in exchange for Opara, who leaves the club after five seasons in Kansas City.

During his time with the club, Opara helped Sporting KC to the 2013 MLS Cup and U.S. Open Cup titles in 2015 and 2017.

No guarantees over Benitez future


Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is unable to offer any guarantees that he will stay at the club until the end of the season.

Benitez is out of contract at the end of the campaign and has been reluctant to begin talks over an extension.

Roma are hoping to sign Croatian defender Domagoj Vida from Besiktas, according to Gianlucadimarzio. 

The central defender played as Croatia reached the World Cup final in Russia in the summer.  

Reports have also linked Vida with a move to Premier League strugglers Fulham but the West Londoners are believed to have been put off by the price tag.

Paul Pogba is not guaranteed to remain at Manchester United past the end of the season despite the departure of Jose Mourinho, claims Paul Ince.

The Vancouver Whitecaps have loaned Anthony Blondell to Chilean side Huachipato FC, the club announced.

Blondell's move includes an option to buy as the forward leaves the club after joining in 2017 from Venezuela.

The forward provided a goal and an assist in nine starts and 20 appearances in his lone MLS season.

Bournemouth interested in Drinkwater loan deal


Bournemouth are looking to add Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater on a loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The midfielder has made just  23 appearances since joining the Blues from Leicester in 2017 and has not featured this season under Maurizio Sarri.

Drinkwater has also been linked to Fenerbahce, who recently added Victor Moses on loan.


Spurs after Valencia's Soler


Tottenham are planning a £30 million offer to sign Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler this summer, according to ESPN.

Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the 22-year-old midfielder, who can either play on the right or as a central midfiedler.

Soler has two goals and six assists for Valencia this campaign.

Liverpool, Bayern and Dortmund in for Werner


RB Leipzig will sell the forward if he does not sign a new deal

Timo Werner has no shortage of suitors as Liverpool, Bayern and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in the RB Leipzig forward, according to ESPN.

Bayern have long been seen as the favourite, with Werner hinting that he'd like to remain in Germany, although Dortmund can offer Werner a more regular starting role.

Liverpool are also said to be interested, with Jurgen Klopp being an admirer of Werner, who could occupy any of the three positions in Liverpool's attack.

RB Leipzig hope Werner will still decide to remain, but are prepared to sell in the summer if he does not commit to a new deal.

Gracia: Doucoure will stay at Watford


Javi Gracia says PSG target Abdoulaye Doucoure will remain with Watford.

The midfielder, who is currently injured, said he was "flattered" by PSG's interest, but Gracia says the club will be holding onto the French star.

West Ham prepare move for Adams


West Ham are set to make a deadline day push to sign Birmingham's Che Adams, according to the Sun.

Adams has scored 14 goals this season for Birmingham, and West Ham see the forward as a player that can help add a new dimension to the attack.

The Championship side are currently under an EFL transfer embargo and insist they won't sell, while Southampton are also said to be in the race to sign the forward.

As the club hunts for an experienced central defender, Inter have turned attention towards Parma's Bruno Alves, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

Monaco have been linked with Inter's Miranda in recent weeks, intensifying the club's search for defensive help.

Croatian international Dominoj Vida and Sassuolo's Gian Marco Ferrari are also options for the Serie A club.

Gueye asks Everton to sanction PSG move


Idrissa Gueye has asked Everton to let him leave the club to joins Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sky Sports.

The move is seen as a dream move for the midfielder, and Gueye has written to the club begging them to allow him to go.

So far, the club has insisted Gueye is not for sale, although PSG are expected to increase their offer to test Everton's stance.
