Henri Saivet completes medicals ahead of Bursaspor move

Bursaspor are set to complete the signing of Henri Saviet on a likely season-long loan move from Newcastle United.

Saivet made his debut for the Magpies in a 2-1 win over West Ham United, having joined the club in January 2016 from Bordeaux but featured only three times before being sent on a loan to Saint-Etienne for the 2016-17 campaign.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of 2017-18 season on another temporary spell at Sivasspor, featuring on 12 occasions for the Yigidos and scoring just a league goal.

And with the Senegal midfielder's medicals successful, a probable loan deal with the Green Crocodiles is set to be struck.

“[Henri Saivet] passed through health check,” the club tweeted.

Bursaspor, now without Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong, continue their Turkish top-flight encounter on Saturday when they lock horns with Kayserispor at the Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye Stadyumu.
