Watford’s Christain Kabasele has named Victor Anichebe as his toughest opposition in the English Premier League.
Just like the Belgian, the Sunderland striker has been sidelined since January and is expected to make a return after the international break, against the Hornets on April 1.
The last time both players met, the 28-year-old striker ended on the winning side and was a thorn in the flesh of the former Genk defender, who came on as a first-half substitute in the 1-0 loss.
"I was mentally prepared to take the plunge [of coming to England]," Kabasele told RTBF.
"I did not have too many problems with the pace of the matches, even if the attackers are much faster than in Belgium.
"Dealing with a [Sergio] Aguero, [Diego] Costa or [Sadio] Mane does not leave you a second of respite, so I need my ability to catch up with attackers who have gone past me."
"I had the most trouble against Victor Anichebe," he admitted.
The defender joined Walter Mazzari’s side in the summer and has had a decent run in the English premier division having netted twice in 11 league appearances while Anichebe’s injury-laden campaign has seen him muster out a return of three goals from 11 matches.
