With just under a week of the winter transfer window to go, Wrexham are still eyeing up additions to strengthen their promotion push.
While manager Phil Parkinson has said he's happy with his current squad, the club's recruitment department are working behind the scenes on a number of options to improve the team.
The Athleticreport that central defence has been identified as an area that could be addressed. On the surface, the Reds are spoilt for choice at the position, but a number of fitness issues have forced midfielder Tom O'Connor to fill in for much of the season.
Injuries in attack also mean the club may recruit a striker. Wigan Athletic's Stephen Humphrys has been identified as one target although there has yet to be a formal bid.
