Manchester United have confirmed that they are happy with the business they've done after bringing in talented, young stars and avoiding paying out high fees. The Red Devils were unwilling to take any expensive risks or be reckless in the January window which will therefore mean they are in a stronger position in the summer market. United are also working under financial constraints due to PSR limits and were not willing to sacrifice long-term aims for short-term gains.

United were in talks with the Bavarian side over Tel's transfer in the last week but the negotiation reportedly collapsed after hearing Bayern's demand of a £5 million ($6m) loan fee.

There could still be some movement before the window closes, with Tyrell Malacia hoping to seal a loan move to PSV. Meanwhile, Amorim's side will aim to get back to winning ways this weekend as they take on Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester in an FA Cup fourth-round clash.
