Welcome to Wrexham: Season 4 release date revealed as Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney deliver more documentary drama in epic League One promotion bid

Hollywood co-owners in North Wales made a point of bringing cameras with them when completing a stunning takeover in 2021. The first series of the popular show covered FA Trophy final heartache at Wembley and play-off disappointment.

A meteoric rise has been enjoyed since then, with the Red Dragons soaring out of the National League and into the third tier of English football. In 2024-25, a historic third successive promotion is being chased down.

An award-winning show has captured every epic moment of that journey, with Reynolds and McElhenney continuing to guide Wrexham down a path that they hope will one day lead to the Premier League Promised Land.

The highs and lows of a memorable season back in League One will air on FX and Hulu from May 15, 2025. That is less than two weeks after Phil Parkinson’s side complete their league schedule - hoping to avoid the need for more play-off lottery tickets.

More famous faces will grace the latest series of Welcome to Wrexham, with movie star Channing Tatum and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong among those to have taken in visits to SToK Racecourse alongside A-list co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney.

There have been plenty of memorable victories, including a crucial 1-0 win away at promotion rivals Wycombe, a run to the semi-finals of the Football League Trophy and transfer windows that delivered more recruitment records and nudges down the pecking order for cult heroes of the recent past.
