WATCH: USMNT's Malik Tillman scores title-sealer as PSV complete surprising comeback, win Eredivisie trophy on final day

PSV won the Eredivisie for a second consecutive season, completing a late-campaign comeback to edge out Ajax for the league title. The title was wrapped up on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam, earning Malik Tillman, Sergino Dest, Ricardo Pepi and Richie Ledezma glory as league winners.

Visiting PSV opened the scoring in the 27th minute, with veteran Ivan Perisic pushing the club one step closer to the league title. Sparta Rotterdam fired back, though, giving chasing Ajax hope by equalizing in the 52nd minute. PSV's response was almost immediate, as Luuk de Jong scored in the 58th minute to seal the win and the league.

Tillman added one more for good measure in the game's final moments, kicking off the celebrations before the final whistle.

PSV had to make up a lot of ground to clinch the title, which looked out of reach just a few short weeks ago. However, a four-game winless run opened the door, and PSV completed their run through it on Sunday to reestablish their foothold atop Dutch soccer.

The USMNT was well represented in the PSV XI, with both Malik Tillman and Sergino Dest starting in Sunday's win. Tillman created several chances in addition to his goal, while also drawing the most fouls of any player in the match. Dest, meanwhile, was typically dangerous on that right-hand side.

Tillman has been a mainstay in the PSV squad aside from a midseason injury absence, scoring 12 goals in his 25 appearances in the league. Dest, meanwhile, returned late in the season from last year's ACL injury, featuring six times.

Despite missing the second half of the season due to injury, Pepi finished tied as the club's third-leading scorer with 11 goals, while Ledezma played vital minutes at right-back in Dest's absence, appearing in 24 matches in total during the title-winning season.

The USMNT's PSV contingent will now look ahead to this summer's Gold Cup, which is preceded by two friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland.
