USWNT veteran Alyssa Naeher makes NWSL history following Chicago Red Star’s victory over Seattle Reign

Naeher played in goal for the Chicago Red Stars in Saturday's victory and brought up her 50th win for the club, the most for any goalkeeper at a single club in the NWSL. She has been with the club since 2016 and is a legend of the United States women's team.

Chicago have now won both of their opening two games of the season, having beaten Utah Royals 2-0 on the opening weekend. Naeher is a hugely experienced campaigner and has won the World Cup twice with the USWNT.

Naeher has won 102 caps for the USWNT and is only the third goalkeeper to win a century of appearances for the country, along with Hope Solo and Brianna Scurry.

Chicago are next in action on Friday against Orlando Pride and Naeher will hope to add another win to her record.
