Tom Brady rages over 'f*cking stupid' David Beckham opinion from Birmingham aide after inviting Inter Miami co-owner to watch 'Hollywood derby' vs Wrexham

The first so-called ‘Hollywood derby’ of the 2024-25 campaign took place at St Andrew’s in September. Said contest saw the Blues lock horns with Welsh rivals - who are co-owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Brady jetted into the UK for said contest, and was joined in the stands by Manchester United legend Beckham. They witnessed a 3-1 victory for Chris Davies’ side, with that fixture figuring prominently on the new Amazon Prime Video documentary ‘Built in Birmingham: Brady & the Blues’.

Brady is caught on camera ahead of playing host to Beckham suggesting that the ex-England captain should be given a gift bag featuring a club sweater, hoodie, scarf and hat. An aide to co-owner Tom Wagner says that would be an odd call as Becks has no affiliation with the Blues. NFL icon Brady snaps back with: “That’s f*cking stupid! Give him a gift bag to take home! It’s a sweet thing. He doesn’t have to wear it.”

Birmingham were happy to present Wrexham co-owner McElhenney with a gift, as he also attended the game, with a personalised Blues shirt passed his way. The ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ actor is seen joking: “What am I supposed to do with that?”

Birmingham and Wrexham went on to secure automatic promotion, with the Blues landing the League One title with a record-breaking haul of 111 points. Their rivalry will be rekindled in the Championship, with both sides spending big in the summer transfer market.
